Sweet, crunchy, and just classy enough to fool your diet app.
Cereal, chocolate, and a controlled trip to Snacktown
Sometimes the vibe calls for baking. And sometimes the vibe says: “Absolutely not. I just want something sweet, salty, and slightly dangerous that I can make in sweatpants without turning the oven on.”
Enter: No-Bake THC Scotcheroo Squares.
Crunchy, chewy, peanut-buttery Rice Krispie treats topped with melted chocolate and butterscotch, with a cheeky dose of THC snuck in like it’s 1997 and you’re hiding weed brownies from your cousin’s youth group.
They’re nostalgic, satisfying, and just complicated enough to feel like “real baking” — without ever opening a cookbook or lighting a burner. This is edible crafting at its most Canadian.
Short answer: a Prairie bake sale legend.
Long answer: Imagine if Rice Krispie squares grew up, discovered peanut butter, then got dressed in chocolate and butterscotch for a fancy potluck in Moose Jaw. They’re sticky, crunchy, and sweet with a salty edge — the perfect treat for people who think “dessert” and “second edible” should happen at the same time.
We didn’t invent them. But we absolutely infused them. And now you get to be the hero who shows up at the cottage with a Tupperware full of these bad boys.
1 cup sugar
1 cup corn syrup (or honey if you’re that guy)
1 cup peanut butter
1–2 tsp THC oil or tincture (unflavoured, start low and stir well)
4–5 cups Rice Krispies
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips (trust us, they work)
Pinch of flaky sea salt (optional, but elite)
Crushed pretzels
Toasted coconut
Drizzle of maple syrup (for maximum Canada)
Heat sugar and corn syrup in a saucepan over medium. Stir it gently while it melts together — don’t walk away, this isn’t Degrassi.
Once it bubbles, pull it off the heat. We're not making caramel here.
Stir in peanut butter until smooth. Then add your THC oil and stir like your snack future depends on it. Because it does.
Pour in your cereal and mix until everything is sticky and beautiful. It should look like something your childhood would’ve called "a treat" and your adult self calls "dinner."
Press into a greased 9x13 pan. Use a spatula, a spoon, or your clean, slightly buttered hands. Up to you.
Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips together (microwave or stovetop, live your truth). Pour over the base. Spread it smooth like a fresh sheet of outdoor rink ice.
Fridge it for at least 30 minutes. Slice into squares. Taste test “one” and then forget how numbers work.
Go low, especially if you’re new. 1 tsp of oil = ~50mg THC total (depending on product).
12 squares = ~4–6mg per serving. That’s a nice place to be.
Store them in a labelled container unless you want a surprise visit from the existential crisis fairy.
Pop ‘em in an airtight container in the fridge and they’ll stay solid for 5–7 days. Freeze for up to a month.
If you wrap individual pieces in parchment like a true snack wizard, you’ll thank yourself later.

Not everything has to be artisanal, whipped, or rolled into tiny edible pearls. Sometimes, you just need a solid, stoney square of sweetness that you can make on autopilot while listening to The Tragically Hip.
These No-Bake THC Scotcheroo Squares are just that. Crunchy, rich, low-effort, and designed to be devoured slowly (or rapidly — no judgment).
So go on. Melt, mix, chill, and get comfy. The munchies are coming, and now you’re ready.
